Above & Beyond have ratcheted up excitement for their live gig at Alexandra Palace with the support act announcements. It leans heavily on their own Ajunabeats imprint, with Russian prodigy Arty, Andrew Bayer and Boom Jinx representing the stable, whilst hypnotic techno doyen Guy J represents for an outside influence. The show is the group’s only major London appearance of 2013, and it will also be their biggest ever show in the capital - following their two sold-out events at Brixton Academy last Easter. Tickets have flown out already for this show with it an almost certainty they will make it a hat-trick of sold out performances in the city.
Celebrating a half century of shows of their Group Therapy radio show (they’ve clocked up 500 shows in total), Group Therapy 50 in London will be among the events that have previously taken residence in the likes of LA's Hollywood Palladium, the Forum de Beyrouth in Beirut and the Jayamahal Palace in Bangalore, India. To coincide with the announcement they’ve released the after movie to the performance in the latter, where you get the sense the show meant an awful lot to the people of the region, one of the fastest growing territorires in the global rave.
