ALTR Records bring Demarzo and M-High to Manchester's South Nightlcub.

Following their opening party in October, ALTR records are buzzing to be bringing house heavyweights Demarzo (Pusher Records) and M-High (PIV Records) to South for what promises to be a special night.

Introducing the first headlining artist: Deep, provocative, and eclectic, the crafted sound of DeMarzo. DeMarzo is taking the world by storm with his unique, jazz-infused take on house. His recent releases on PIV, No Art, and his own Pusher Records have made him a sought-after producer and DJ. At the age of 8, DeMarzo was enrolled into the Yamaha Keyboard School where he got his first taste of creativity. Years of writing and performing live became natural. Nights spent watching jazz improv became highly influential. Whilst studying music technology at college, the Leeds-based artist began producing his own material. An amalgamation encompassing all his influences became evident in his work. As a multi-instrumentalist, his obligation to inject groove into both his productions and sets is arousing more and more interest. DeMarzo's sound is a meticulously crafted one. His toxic perfectionism and shrewd sense of rhythm lead him naturally to where he is today and into a bright future.

The second headlining artist is no other than the Dutch DJ & producer, M-High. M-high is the stage name of young multi-instrumentalist producer Marijn Schiedon from Amsterdam. His quality releases on labels such as PIV for which he recently became A&R are paving the way to a bright future. A natural studio talent, Marijn was involved in successful music projects from a young age. It was not until he found his current sound that M-high was born. Things started to fall into place with his favourite artists supporting his music and labels interested in signing him. M-high's signature keys and basslines are now in demand. Soon he signed releases on PIV, Meta, Moxy, Key, and many others. The young DJ has spent many hours perfecting his craft in front of crowds and delivers solid performances. His sets always contain a heavy dose of unreleased M-high tracks with lots of groove and intricate heartfelt solos. With gigs and festivals already confirmed in The Netherlands and UK for 2022, Marijn is ready to take the world by storm.

Support on the night comes from Manchester-based duo Matka (Flight Mode), South Wales-based DJ and producer C.I Hrtz (Maverick) and our very own ALTR residents, spinning the freshest minimal, house and disco till late. Not one to be missed!

Launched in 1995, South was created as an antidote to the superclub by Hacienda Promotions Manager Paul Cons and over two decades later, South has become Manchester's Original Basement Club. Designed by Ben Kelly and powered by a Funktion One sound system you can be sure that this intimate venue, will create a unique environment where music lovers and performers can be brought together as one.

The last entry for all events is 12:30am. South operates a zero-tolerance policy on drugs and searches will take place upon arrival at the venue. No ID, no entry - must be a valid passport or driving licence.
