A disco revival with Lost In Disco

The Lost In Disco events filled the beautiful Bush Hall throughout 2017 and show no sign of slowing down in 2018 as audiences show a new appreciation for classic dance music.

On New Year's Eve, a packed Bush Hall played host to DJs The Sheen Resistance and outrageous dance act Hot Heels, as 2018 was ushered in with a night of classic 70s and 80s disco.

Lost In Disco, the name of the night, has been a huge hit throughout 2017 with a series of sold-out events. Longtime disco fans, The Sheen Resistance have turned their love of the ultimate party music into a hugely enjoyable spectacle. With a playlist including the likes of Earth, Wind & Fire, Evelyn Champagne King, Diana Ross and Chaka Kan, visuals incorporating drag performers, vintage video projection, glitter makeup artists, swathes of trashy animal print drapes and gold lamé, Lost In Disco is a celebration of both disco's euphoric best and it's kitschiest. Audiences have clearly come back round to appreciating disco's many strengths and it's probably no coincidence that one of the genre's enduring supergroups, Chic led by Nile Rodgers, were also headlining a major event a short ride away at precisely the same time.

With the emphasis on party rather than club night, Lost In Disco is proudly catering to all age groups ? from those in their early twenties, to those who danced to the tunes first time round. The common link is a love for classic dance music, and an inclusive, friendly party atmosphere, which is provided in spades. Many of the partygoers dress in keeping with the theme, and it's an event where friendships have been made and revived.

The Lost In Disco events have continued into 2018 at Bush Hall. On February 10th, The Sheen Resistance were joined as a special guest by the wonderful DJ Anna Greenwood who combined brilliantly with the resident drag queens. A trip to Brighton packed out the quirky boutique Hotel Pelirocco and had disco lovers queueing to get in. A return trip has already been booked for July.

Raising the game yet again, the next event at Bush Hall on May 19 will feature the international DJ Sarah Main as special guest. Spending the majority of her years in Ibiza manning the Pacha mainroom DJ box, her career has also seen her tour continuously around the world to all the major festivals and to play in the worlds' top clubs including a 2-year residency at Ushuaia Ibiza. Most recently Sarah was resident at Boogie In Wonderland, the Studio 54-inspired night at Heart Ibiza, so is a perfect fit for Lost In Disco.
