2022NQ presents: Unabombers

With recent Easter festivities out of they way, the celebrations are set to continue at Manchester’s 2022NQ, as it commemorates its 1st birthday. The fledgling venue has created something of a storm in its brief history, and has become one of the coolest venues in the city, successfully blending art with music, all with an unadulterated, underground feel.

With birthday celebrations kicking off this Thursday, a variety of exhibitions and screenings will be hosted over the weekend culminating in undoubtedly the highlight, the arrival of Electric Chairs very own Unabombers.

Unabombers, a.k.a Luke Cowdry & Justin Crawford, have attained a huge cult following with their irresistible DJing style, and notably for their infamous club night, Electric Chair, which since 1995 has continued to be one of the most crazy, unpredictable, but undeniably brilliant nights in Manchester’s history. With a fiercely open minded policy, Luke & Justin’s sets and club nights are an exhilarating musical masterclass.

To use the term eclectic would be an understatement. Sets from the Unabombers regularly include styles ranging from hip hop through to r&b, house through to breaks, and everything in between. What binds their varied style together is an infectious soul tip, which clearly pumps through the veins of these two. Add to that their contagious ability to keep the party pumping, whilst taking the listeners and clubbers on a musical journey that continually moves and evolves, Unabombers are adept at creating an unforgettable, sophisticated, and ultimately feel good experience.

With the first year of 2022NQ being crammed with so many highlights, we can hardly wait to see what they have in store for us in future, as one of Manchester’s most exciting up and coming venues continues to gain praise and adoration from fans and critics alike.
