Million Dollar Disco celebrates the launch of Disco Love 3 at Manchester\'s 2022NQ
\nTo celebrate the launch of Volume 3 of the acclaimed Disco Love series, Million Dollar Disco hit Manchester basement club 2022nq this Saturday for an entire night of tasty Disco favourites and hard to find rarities, mixed together by the expert hands of the legendary Al Kent.
\nTaking place on Saturday 23rd February, the album launch party will see the Disco veteran take clubbers on a journey through the wonderful twists, turns and twirls of his beloved genre at Manchester\'s coolest basement disco den.
\nMaking music and throwing parties for the best part of two decades, Million Dollar Disco is more than just a record label. It\'s a way of life. And nobody is better equipped to show the people of Manchester exactly what MDD is all about than Al Kent, who\'ll be playing all his favourite tracks non stop for four soulful, sexy, booty shakin\' hours - proving that there ain\'t no disco like a Million Dollar Disco.
\nAl Kent - or Ewan Kelly to his parents - has been a music obsessive since his childhood in 1960s Glasgow. Playing his first DJ gig at the age of 15 in a local community hall, his passion for music in all forms led him to indulge in a range of genres including Motown, Northern Soul, and House before arriving at the promised land of Disco.
\nThese days Al Kent travels over the UK and beyond to spread the Disco word. Whether it\'s a boat party on the Seine with Dimitri from Paris or a 2000 capacity super club, Al always sticking to the music he loves; pleasing the purists with plenty of obscurities whilst throwing in the odd classic to appease the uninitiated - and always creating Disco converts wherever he goes.
\nAs well as DJing, Al, is a prolific producer, dedicating much of his time to creating unique edits. His discography to date includes three volumes of Brown Brothers releases on the Real Thing label, two on Jisco Music and a further two on Kat. He\'s compiled four volumes of the highly popular \"Disco Demands\" series, volume one of the \"Northern Disco\" series, and a special Brown Brothers compilation, all released on Million Dollar Disco. Not to mention the mammoth Million Dollar Orchestra project and all three volumes of \"Disco Love\", the hugely popular series of rare Disco and Soul gems. Experience Al Kent and the Million Dollar Disco in all its glory on February 23rd at 2022nq.
