Leeds are getting a new 2,000 capacity venue later this year. Mint XL, a multi-purpose space from the team behind Mint Warehouse and Mint Club, promises to kickstart a new era of music for the city.
The venue is the latest from a brand that has been a staple in West Yorkshire since the 90s. Mint XL will host large-scale electronic music events, extended DJ sets, live performances, brand activations, and private hires, loaded with a newly installed sound system, and will operate a no-phones policy during club events.
Owner Shane Graham said of the venue; “From Mint Club through to Mint Festival, we’ve spent nearly two decades building something special in Leeds, and this is a natural progression of that journey. It allows us to take everything we’ve produced over the years and deliver it at a much bigger club setting.”
Director Mikey McMahon added that the venue, “allows us to programme multi-bill lineups at a much bigger scale across multiple rooms, while also expanding beyond electronic music into live bands, private hires, and brand-led events.”
Mint XL will open in Leeds later this year.
