About

Welcome to The Word Zoo

The Word Zoo takes place on the first Thursday of every month at The Others in Stoke Newington. Each event brings together a featured poet and musician, an open mic, and a room full of people who love words and live performance.

Open-mic performers can sign up on arrival for a slot of up to 8 minutes, with or without our house band, Vibe Machine. Spaces are limited, so arrive early if you’d like to perform.

Whether you’re ready to take the mic or simply want to enjoy the show, you’re welcome at The Word Zoo. Follow this page for upcoming events and announcements.
