After a dazzling debut in 2024, SCENE: Manchester’s LGBTQ+ Film and TV Festival is back and gearing up for an even bigger celebration of queer screen culture this summer.
The week-long festival will run from Friday, 15th August to Thursday, 21st August 2025, celebrating both new and classic LGBTQ+ cinema and television.
You can expect previews of brand new feature and short films, TV shows, documentaries and celebrations of favourites from the past along with Q&As, events, parties and more.
Screenings will be hosted on screens in spaces throughout the city including outdoor screens, traditional cinemas and pop-up spaces in iconic venues, including HOME, CULTPLEX and AVIVA Studios.
The festival will offer a mix of ticketed and free events with a portion of the festival’s profits donated to the Manchester Pride charity, supporting the LGBTQ+ community.
