Review of Learn to Skate with Emmie

I’m brand new to skating,  went to the beginner class on Sunday! Shakers is awesome, very patient, I left the class knowing how to balance myself and not holding on to the guard rail! Defo recommend her to all my friends 🥰

Shakira was great from start to finish. she introduced herself to everyone and showed us the basics based on our current ability. I'll be back next week.  loved it

Booked on to the intermediate skating by mistake..she came over once to explain how to skate.!

Review of Learn to Skate with Emmie (Intermediate + Dance)

Really good session. Emmie wasn't there but the other guys were very helpful. Super fun supportive environment. Great place to practice and improve your skills wherever you are on your skating journey!

Learn to skate with Emmie didn’t live up to what I expected.  After having a lovely time at roller jam the week before I thought a learn to skate lesson would be great to just teach me the basics. However because there were so many in the class and Emmie didn’t have a microphone I don’t really feel like I learnt anything.  It seemed as though she was just teaching people who could already skate but want to learn how to skate backwards which should me in an intermediate class. I wasn’t really taught how to get started and move away from the sides, she did show us how to stop about half way through the session. 
I feel that at the start of the lesson she should have grouped up people who could start and complete beginners up and go between the two groups so everyone could get something from the lesson.

Too busy for a learn to skate session, was basically a load of people skating around not really any teaching going on

Was a good event, will definitely come back.
