We had soooooo much fun. Music was spot on and amazing, especially the live music. Atmosphere was fun and friendly. Venue was beautiful. Can't wait to go again. Food was good and they accommodated for me as I'm gluten free. Hare and hound are expensive drinks wise though!

Review of Country & Western Event Hare & Hounds Bath

Actually gutted to be writing this review as we (my group) always look for the best in everything. However, this event did not hit the mark at all. It is definitely over advertising for what it actually is. Why we paid £20 per head I am really unsure. When it says there are stools it is actually one small table set up by the event owner with cheap bits from china, plus his own hats with his logo on it. That's all. There were two singers that came from over the country, ( thy were lovely). But, two acoustic sets which sets a very different tone to what is advertised online. Brilliant singers, so not their fault at all. Food is there all to be bought from the venue. Again, not stools. Just at the bar as what is provided without an event. And line dancing happens throughout to try and make the atmosphere better. The lady running this is wonderful though I will say this. The event only booked a small part of the outside of the pub, therefore people were coming and going without having to pay. And people who had food were overlooking the event for free on the pub balcony. When this was questioned the organiser lied and told people they had to also pay £15 just to sit and watch. This was spoken with to the owner of the pub and she made it very clear that she wasn't charging anyone in the pub and he was lying. Because of the abusive behaviour witnessed by the organiser the pub have also made it clear they won't be accommodating the event again. 
It's a shame as the main issue is the advertising and pricing until: 

After wanting to talk to the organiser and explain this so he could make improvements moving forward. With also three other parties agreeing in the pub (as was only a small booked area of the pub). And lots of people giving the same feedback and leaving early.. The man running it became very aggressive and verbally abusive towards anyone who spoke to his regarding a complaint. Trying to give out "free hats" with his logo on it. Which is just so beyond what people would want. PLEASE AVOID.

We could have sat in pub garden & listened for nothing! First singer was great, line dancing was a bit of fun but second performer left a bit to be desired! I wouldn't go again, needs polishing up a bit & more interaction!

A fun day & the music was a great mixture from older country to the new songs. The line dancing was so much fun. The girl doing it really knows how to make it fun. We loved the dance to cotton eye joe especially. There was clearly a problem with the venue as they allowed people to sit in the terrace area which overlooked the singers & where  we were which personally we were not happy about as we had paid for a tick*t & they didnt. But this was no reflection on the event itself & we felt sorry for the dj who we believe was the owner of country events as he got flack for what happened but it was clearly not his fault. He was fun too & made a point to go round speaking to everyone to say hello. I think his name was Matt. Hope this event comes back to Bath as we would go again.

A fun event and the music was really good and the line dance lady was a delight to watch. You would want her at any party thats for sure. The hosts were very accomodating but the venue clearly let the event down although it is a beautiful place.  Some were being very unreasonable with the man who run the event itself but they should have directed their complaints to the manager of the hare and hounds. But myself and my husband had a really nice time and would recommend.

Great fun to be had listening to country music by campfires.
Also great food stall and bar.
Overnight camping (extra) if you want to.

Review of Country By Campfire Dover

We had a wonderful time, the music was fantastic, as was the host and his attentiveness with the fires etc. Food and drink were reasonably priced and nice to see local catering and beverage suppliers being used. 
my only concern would be the  toilets, it would not be som**hing that would stop me attending however I wouldn't camp again if the bathroom facilities were the same.
