Amazing band, bar didn't have all drink options listed. Atmosphere was friendly and fun

Review of What The Funk? ft Detroit Soul Collective

Detroit band were brilliant.
DJ played some good tracks but seemed very disinterested in engaging with the audience, made little or no effort to get people dancing.  What a shame . 
Maybe he needs to have a few drinks and get into a party mood before taking on the decks. 
Two girls asked for some request tracks but he didn't seems to make any effort to play the requests.  ??? 
The Venu is very good and the staff seems helpful.

Nice refurb and a superb band. I'll be back!!!

We were celebrating 2 family members young 60th birthdays so bought 28 tick*ts for the funk night. The venue itself is great & the band & DJ were fab. All the staff were great too. It was let down by lack of drinks & no food available which when we booked it said street food served. When we asked why there was a lack of everything we were told they had been very busy the previous night. Bit of a rubbish excuse really as you know you have events on you should be well stocked up. Luckily the manager allowed us to go & get takeout as none of us had eaten.
All in all we had a good night & I would definitely try it again.

The evening was superb, great music choices by the DJ before and after the band. The singers and musicians were really good and engaging with the audience. I danced the whole night through and would definitely go again.
