Wick Street Festival has a very eclectic range of bands and brands being featured.
From ska with Fat Belly Jones, rap from Too Many T's, tribute acts Think Floyd and ELO Encounter, Mudlow blues band, soul singer Lady Oracle, Dub Pistols Sound System (not the band) with Barry Ashworth as DJ, Don Letts, '80's with Miss Garbo, ceilidhs with Contraband, pop/soul from Bow, folk from Milton Hide, reggae/dub from Gumjuaka and the wonderful Turin Brakes headlining on Saturday night.
After the live music ends at 11pm, there will be a Silent Disco
The festival site is spread across 4 roomy fields and 2 paddocks and sits beautifully under the South Downs near Lewes and Brighton.
The food and drink are almost entirely from outstanding local companies like Pished Fish, Pat's Pizzas, The 2 Fridas, Dicker Stores breakfast burritos and our very own burgers from grass fed cattle.
It's the same with the booze. It's sold very close to - and sometimes at - the same price as Pubs. Silly Moo and Ascension ciders, Beaconview wine, Gun and Burning Sky breweries, Harley House gin and rum, Folkington's tonics, Dalston's soft drinks, Karma cola and many more.
The festival is also dog-friendly and you can even book your dog in for a gentle grooming session or just a walk.
Dates : Friday, Sep 1st and Saturday, Sep 2nd 2023 but people are welcome to camp from Thursday, August 31st under the Sussex skies but there will be no music.
