The Great Fete

The Great Fete will take part on Saturday 8th August and Sunday 9th August. 

Saturday full event times: 12.00 - 22.30 

Sunday full event times: 12.00 - 22.00

Last entry for both days is 17.00. 

Children are welcome on both The Great Fete event days, but please note that the Saturday is more dance led with the Sunday offering more live music. 

Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21. Children should be provided with ear protection, this is a festival, music will be loud in front of the stages. 

Adult tickets are required for those aged 16 and over. 

Discounted child tickets are available for under 5s and 5-15s. 

If parents purchase a VIP ticket, children will be given the same level of access. 

PLEASE NOTE BACKSTAGE VVIP ACCESS TICKETS ARE STRICTLY FOR 18+. 

What if we are separated from our children? 

The Great Fete can provide a complimentary wristband system, where they provide a wristband for your child and add your preferred contact number at entry. If your child is spotted alone, they will use the details to try to locate you. 

What is the kids zone? 

The kids zone is a family friendly area with entertainers and games where parents can bring their children to play if the children need a break from the music! The kids zone will be in the shade and have fun activities or entertainment from opening time until 19.30 each day. 

Can I bring a buggy? 

You are welcome to bring a push chair or a buggy for your child but please note these are your responsibility and The Great Fete do not have anywhere you can securely leave them. They request that these are not taken into the dance tents or directly in-front of main stage, these are busy areas with high footfall. The festival takes place on a grass field which could be muddy based on the weather. 

Can we leave the site to drop kids home and return later? 

Yes, but please ensure you grab a wristband from the front gate and when you return you’ll need your wristband and proof of your ticket to enter back into the site. 

You will be able to bring sealed plastic water bottles onto site up to 1litre per person to The Great Fete. For metal bottles, they can be no larger than 500ml. There will be free water re-filling stations across the site for everyone to use. 

The Great Fete have worked hard to secure a variety of incredible street food vendors, using local business where possible. They’ve also sourced a lot of bars which will offer a wide variety of drinks to cater for every taste. It is prohibited to bring your own food or alcohol. Only sealed water bottles are accepted to bring on site. 

You are welcome to bring small fold up chairs to The Great Fete but these are not allowed to be placed in the arenas or directly in front of the main stage. Please note these will be high footfall areas and the festival are not responsible for your chairs. There is plenty of space between the different stages where you can set up your chairs or blankets. 

There will be chill out areas near the food court & in the VIP area. 

Please take your furniture home with you.

No, no camping at The Great Fete this year! Watch this space for accommodation options on future years! 

Whilst everyone is entitled to film or photo their experience, The Great Fete request that no physical cameras (e.g no professional cameras) are brought onto site. They will have photographers and video-graphers on site throughout the day to capture the experience. Should you not with to be featured, please let them know when you see them.

Only valid tickets are accepted for The Great Fete. All tickets are digital so please make sure you have a way to receive and show your tickets. Please keep an eye on your emails for all information regarding your ticket. 

The Great Fete have a variety of tickets available but there are 3 main categories. 

General Access:

General access tickets give you access to the main site, the 3 arenas, the fairground, kids area and to see all the main artists that are advertised. 

VIP passes: 

VIP tickets include: Access to the VIP area & bar, Side of stage view, Seating Additional toilets, Chill out area as well as fast track entry. If you purchase VIP tickets, your children will also be given VIP access. 

Backstage Passes (18 years +) 

The backstage area is strictly for years 18 and over. 

Please be prepared to show ID if you look under 18. ID must match the name on the ticket. 

The backstage passes include a separate entrance, Stage access for certain sets, additional food and bars, additional toilets, backstage access. The backstage passes have a very limited capacity. 

The Great Fete is taking place in Hatfield Park, which is directly opposite Hatfield Train Station. 

Hatfield Train Station offers direct trains to Kings Cross London in just 25 minutes. Please also refer to the Hatfield Park website for travel information and location. The Great Fete will send updated information, including which entrance to use and where we are in the park nearer the time.

Yes, The Great Fete have limited parking availability. Parking passes can be purchased as an add on and is just a couple of minutes walk to the festival entrance.

Hatfield (Herts) station is generally considered accessible, featuring Category A status with step-free access to all platforms, lifts, and staff-operated ramps for train boarding. The station includes accessible ticket machines, an accessible toilet in the booking hall, and 17 accessible parking space

Yes, Blue Badge parking will be available for accessibility ticket holders. The Great Fete will email the route and parking entrance to use closer to the time.

All accessibility tickets for The Great Fete will come with a free companion ticket. 

Yes, all the main bars across The Great Fete site will have accessible drop-down service available. Please note that some private vendors might not offer this service. 

Yes, there will be accessible toilets available at The Great Fete. 

Yes, but The Great Fete takes place on grass, and the weather could cause issues on event weekend. 

Yes, there is one for the main stage at The Great Fete. 

No, sadly, no pets are allowed on site at The Great Fete.
