Slam Dunk Festival - South information & FAQs
Disabled Access Information
Slam Dunk is an accessible festival and offers an access wristband system for disabled customers.
Companion Tickets: Slam Dunk Festival offers a complimentary companion ticket for disabled customers (subject to availability). If you wish to attend one of the festival dates and require the use of the accessible viewing areas (AVA’s), a complimentary companion ticket or assistance please follow the instructions below.
If you wish to purchase a VIP ticket then your complimentary companion ticket will also be given access to the VIP area.
Complimentary companion tickets are also eligible on the payment scheme tickets.
You will be asked to provide your DLA, PIP, benefits letter or equivalent, registered severely sight impaired card, assistance dog card or other evidence.
There will be accessible viewing platforms at every stage, with the exception of the smallest ones if space is an issue. Please note that there will be a total capacity at each platform and this will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. There will be disabled toilets at every viewing platform as well as throughout the site.
There will be Blue Badge parking available at the festival site, which will be as close to the entrance as possible, this will be free of charge for Blue Badge holders.
As both sites are now greenfield, will need to travel across grassy terrain to access most viewing platforms and other areas of the festival. Should we experience rain in the run-up to the event or on the event day the terrain could become muddy and harder to navigate, please come prepared for such conditions.
Travelling to/from the festival
By Car:
Slam Dunk South is situated in Hatfield House Park not far from the A1 (M) and the town of Hatfield.
If you are coming to Slam Dunk South you are asked that you DO NOT approach through the town of Hatfield. The postcode for Sat Nav's is: AL9 5PG, which is directly off the A414. When you are within 2 miles of the site please follow our Yellow Festival road signage rather than your Sat Nav to ensure you go into the right entrance / exit.
Car Park Location:
The car park entrance is off the A414 Westbound only. The postcode for the carpark is AL9 5PG. Once you near the festival site follow the yellow festival signage and not your Sat Nav. Click here to open the car park location on Google Maps.
The car park will open at 9am and close shortly after the event has finished. We advise customers to buy tickets in advance from HERE.
By Big Green Coach - National Bus Services
Big Green Coach are operating a variety of transport services to make getting to and from the festival hassle free and value for money.
DAY RETURN SERVICES – from all over the UK direct to the Official Coach park for both sites. Coaches are scheduled to arrive early and don’t depart until the music is done. You’ll miss none of the action. The Coach Park is next to the main entrance, no one gets you closer.
Forget expensive hotels, leaving early for the last train or being stuck as driver. Have a few beers with your mates and we will get you home safely at the end of the night.

By Train:
Slam Dunk South is a situated in Hatfield Park opposite Hatfield Train Station. This is a 24-minute train ride from London with trains going regularly from London and regionally. The last train back to London is at 00:23 (accurate at 15 May 2019).
Pick up and Drop Off / Pre-Booked Taxis / Uber
There is a dedicated pick-up and drop-off space on the site for private hire taxis and the public. This will be at the Hatfield House Visitor Car Park Entrance, click here to open the location in Google Maps.
By Local Bus:
Slam Dunk South is located near stops for regional bus services. To find out more about services to Hatfield click here.
By Black Cab:
Black Cabs will run from Hatfield Station for Slam Dunk South 2020.
Shuttle Bus (Festival to Afterparty / London ONLY):
The Slam Dunk Festival (South) shuttle service will operate on Sunday 26th May between 2200 (10:00pm) - 0200 (2:00am) from the festival site in Hatfield. There are two locations available for festival goers:
1. The Forum - for all customers attending the Official festival after party at The Forum, University of Hertfordshire.
2. London - all customers returning into London will be dropped off on Islington High Street, outside the Angel tube station
(NOTE: there are no daytime services to the festival site - the shuttle service operates after the festival ONLY)
There is no need to book a travel time. Buses run continuously during these times (10pm-2am) - simply turn up and go.
Please book online in advance to avoid the increased charges on the day.
