Rock The Mote Festival

Rock The Mote Festival 2027 takes place Friday 23 - Sunday 25 July.

Rock The Mote is located in Mote Park, Maidstone. 

Only those camping at Rock the Mote will be allowed to leave the arena to go back to the camping field and be re-admitted.

The weather shouldn’t affect Rock The Mote too much because of the time of year, however, the ground may become wet and soft, so if the weather up to and including the day of the festival is wet, organisers advise wearing your wellies and waterproof jackets!

Adults are not permitted to bring any food or drinks onto the site, apart from one 500ml sealed bottle of water per person. However, Rock the Mote will allow children’s snacks and a soft drink for young children.

Those camping at Rock the Mote can bring a personal supply of food and drink for consumption in the camping areas.

Highly trained Assistance Dogs are the only animals permitted. Due to possible concerns for animal welfare in the environment (including loud music, smoke, sun, pyrotechnics and fireworks) Rock the Mote asks that anyone requiring a highly trained assistance dog to accompany them to contact them first at customer@lucuslive.com. 

You’re welcome to bring your own seating (folding, camping chairs) and blankets to sit on at Rock The Mote, however please be aware that these cannot be placed directly in front of the stage because it creates a hazard.  You must be behind the barriers, which will be clearly signposted.

Rock the Mote does allow campers to bring cosmetics into the campsite but please be prepared to spray/use it on yourself upon entry (security may ask this as a measure to ensure what is inside is perfume). 

Please also note that Rock the Mote do not allow glass perfume or aftershave bottles over 30ml, so any glass bottles/containers. Bigger than this will be confiscated upon entry and you will not receive these items back.

Unfortunately you cannot be issued with a refund if you can’t make Rock The Mote due to work commitments or your mates have dropped out. In these circumstances, it is advised passing on your tickets privately to avoid losing out on the money spent. Refunds can only be offered if the event is cancelled or postponed, as agreed upon purchase.

TRAVELING BY CAR

If you’re looking to arrive by car, you will need to buy a parking ticket from the Skiddle ticket page. 

If you’re camping, you will need to purchase a parking ticket for both days.

The car park situated within Mote Park’s main entrance is for park users only.

Please note, Rock The Mote strongly advise that you do not park in and around residential areas surrounding the park and doing so will run the risk of you receiving a parking ticket.

Maidstone West Station – 1.3 miles from Mote Park 

Maidstone Barracks Station – 1.7 miles from Mote Park 

Maidstone East Station – 1.4 miles from Mote Park 

TRAVELLING BY BUS

The Mall Bus Station is located approximately one mile from Mote Park.

Yes!  For General Camping, choose your spot in the unmarked Rock The Mote camping area. Please bring a tent suited to your group and respect your neighbours’ space. Gazebos may need to come down if more pitching space is needed.

A separate field has a strict 11pm noise curfew, with priority for families camping with children. No separate quiet/family ticket is needed.

The first row is reserved for campers who need accessible toilets and showers. Use a general camping supplement; priority is given to those with access needs.

Do not bring glass (except small perfume or aftershave bottles up to 30ml), aerosols over 250ml, air horns, megaphones, blow torches, drones, firewood, fireworks, illegal substances, nitrous oxide or related equipment, petrol burners or fuel generators. Pets are not permitted; contact the Access Team about assistance dogs.

Large speakers and amplified sound systems are not allowed at Rock The Mote. Small personal Bluetooth speakers are permitted; respect fellow campers and the 11pm quiet/family field noise curfew.

Rock the Mote welcomes camper vans, motorhomes, caravans and trailer tents.

Converted vans must have fixed or folding beds and camping features such as sinks and storage. If unsure, check with the organiser before booking.

Each vehicle pitch accommodates up to four people. Pitch guests do not need separate camping supplements, but everyone needs a valid weekend arena ticket. Awnings and extras must fit inside your pitch. If a caravan’s towing vehicle cannot fit, a separate weekend parking ticket is required.

Clean water, toilets, bins and waste disposal are in or beside the field. Free showers are in the camping hub.

A smaller camping field with fewer guests, luxury toilets and free showers is shared with glamping guests if you choose to attend Rock The Mote with Camping Plus.

Camping Plus guests can use the glamping partner’s Pamper Tent, with mirrors and electric sockets.

A Camping Plus supplement is required per person, rather than per tent. This is a camping option; check your ticket for the arena access included.

Yes.  Purchase your own Rock The Mote ticket before applying using the companion pass application form HERE. Have your booking reference and supporting access information ready. Companion passes are free and match the approved day or weekend ticket.

Applications close on 13 July 2027.  

Yes, show your Blue Badge and purchased parking ticket to the Rock The Mote traffic stewards on arrival.

Rock The Mote is fully wheelchair accessible but takes place on grass in a predominantly outdoor environment, where adverse weather conditions can affect the ground.

Yes, there will be disabled toilets on site at Rock The Mote.
