Once again Skiddle returns as an official outlets for Reading Festival tickets. Reading Festival boasts an ever impressive and diverse line up, ranging from all the way from punk and metal, through to rock, alternative, indie, dance, and electro; these are a few of the reasons why Reading Festival is so special.

Reading Festival has developed something of a habit of attracting some of the biggest global superstars, and hottest new bands on the planet to their Berkshire home. 2017 is set to be no different.

Music fans will also have a chance to see a whole host of new acts at Reading Festival this year including local bands in the smaller tents as well as the more established ones on Reading Festival's main stage. There are also great comedy acts in the alternative tent for when you require a welcome rest from the mosh pit!

Reading Festival 2017 is set to be one of the most electrifying, and unforgettable festival experiences happening in Britain this year.

Disabled Access Information

The disabled access facilities are for the use of disabled customers wishing to attend the events. The festival cannot cater to people with broken bones, healing wounds or women who are pregnant. There are other ways and means of attending the event if you are temporarily impaired but please be aware that the facilities available for disabled customers are strictly regulated for its specific use.

Any ticket holder aged 13 years and over may apply for the 2-for-1 PA/Carer ticket providing the carer attending with them is 18 years or over. We hope that this will enable many more disabled teens to attend.

Please note that for any application for disabled access or a 2-for-1 ticket you must provide us with sufficient medical documentation to support your application and to validate your request. We ask for this so that we can gauge the numbers who are wishing to attend and so that the facilities that we provide are used by the people they are intended for.

Ideally, for supportive material for validation of your request, we accept DLA entitlements clearly stating the levels of mobility and care awarded, hospital or doctor letters giving a brief description on your situation and/or other medical documentation pertaining to your disability. We never need to see any financial information in relation to anything you provide to us in support of your disabled access application.

History of Reading Festival

Reading festival started life out as the National Jazz Festival, which was conceived by Harold Pendleton (founder of the Marquee Club in London) and was first held at Richmond Athletic Ground in 1961. The lineup finally settled into a pattern of progressive rock, blues and heavy metal during the 1970s, with the occasional dabble into the world of punk rock. As the years have gone on, influential artists at the beginnings of their careers, notably The Jam, The Ramones, Nirvana, and Blur have all made appearances.

The beginning of the century hailed an introduction to even more diversity - from Hip Hop right through to Dance - and the trend has continued thanks to the introduction of the famous Radio One Stage. Since then Reading has been getting bigger and better, with tickets regularly selling out in an incredibly quick time.
