Skiddle: The UK's biggest guide to festivals

There's so many amazing festivals out there but it can be difficult to work out which festivals you're going to attend. There's so many things to take into consideration - the location of the festival, the size of the festival, the genre of music, whether it's family friendly and the type of facilities onsite.

Skiddle's new Festivals Finder is here to make the process that bit easier. Simply use the Festivals Finder's unique festival search, which include options allowing you to search for festivals based on filters such as location; month; genres; type; size; accommodation; amenities and even the artists you've liked on Facebook!

Bio
Originally hailing from Bellshill,Lanarkshire Stevie has been rocking the decks ever since the day he raided his dadï¿?s record collection and started messing around with the controls on his old Alba hi fi! At the age of 18, after saving up money from his part time job as a Checkout Assistant in Safeway he bought himself a set of decks- all be it they were Soundlab beltdrives. A few months on, some extra shifts pushing trolleys and a student loan later he had a set of the hallowed Technics 1210s.

It soon became clear which career path he was going to choose as he spent more time in 23rd Precinct Records & HMV than he did at Uni. Nevertheless he completed his degree in Economics and Post Grad in Ecommerce whilst pursuing his real dream. The first record he bought was Kayashi Furyo on Additive records in 1997.

DJ
He began playing in local bars and clubs doing the gigs that no one else wanted to do playing 70s and 80s music at birthday parties which fulfilled his need to simply get out and play music which in the long run proved invaluable. After sending off countless mixtapes he got his first break playing at the under 18s at the Viper club in Bellshill and within weeks he was spinning the tunes at the overs too. He soon began to gather momentum when he was approached to play on the Xposure Magazine British club tour which led on to playing in front of 5000 people at the Kritivibes festival in Crete, Greece with Dutch dance company Euro Music Events. Soon afterwards he began a residency at the legendary Fubar in Stirling which he played for 8 years. He has also held residencies in City Falkirk, City Edinburgh,Karbon Glasgow,Common Glasgow, Centrepoint Coatbridge, Megabar/Hype Motherwell, Hamilton Palace, Essence Coatbridge, Rosies Falkirk, The Social Glasgow, Level 2 Coatbridge. He has guested throughout the length and breadth of the country playing at T in the Park, the Arches for both Colours and Inside Out,Hed Kandi ,Cream and not forgetting the legendary M8 Christmas parties at the Tunnel. Throughout his time he has shared the decks with Fedde Le Grand, Grant Nelson, Danny Rampling, Greame Park, Eddie Halliwell, Tiesto,K Klass, Judge Jules,Bart B More, Bodyrox,Funkagenda, Mark Knight to name but a few and Calvin Harris has even warmed up for him!

Stevieï¿?s music style reflects his eclectic influences ï¿? from his soulful house roots all the way through to the chunkier clubbier beats that heï¿?s known for. Heï¿?ll play whatever it takes to get the crowd going be it the cooler unpretentious house music he loves, the cutting edge main room house he fires out with ease or the tougher tribal techy tip he likes to take us on when the time is right. Wherever he plays you can always guarantee plenty of energy and passion behind the decks , a distinctive musical style that whips the crowd into a frenzy, loads of crowd interaction and no doubt the odd chant of ï¿?Stevie F****n Lennon!ï¿?

Promoter
Djing has always been his first love but as his events continue to grow in success and popularity he finds himself juggling his career as a dj with that of a promoter too but still enjoying it none the less.

Stevie is one half of Kelman & Lennon, the dynamic dj duo who are the brains behind Stereofunk, one of Scotlands coolest club brands and music festivals. What began as overnight parties in castles and mansions across the land has now blossomed into a yearly music festival at Strathclyde Park for over 2000 people showcasing over 70 of the best Scottish djs, 15 live bands and a sprinkling of the worlds best djs. Stereofunk is continuing to grow year after year and Stevie is determined to keep fuelling itï¿?s growth by continuing to build the brand by ï¿?taking the best people to the best places to have the best partiesï¿?

Stevie joined forces with industry heavyweights GoodGreef and Inside Out in 2008 to form one of Scotlandï¿?s biggest outdoor dance event Parklife raising his and the profile of Stereofunk once more. Over 7000 people attended to see a star studded line up of over 40 of the worldï¿?s best djs. Parklife has now firmly established itself in the Scottish Festival calendar.

After having had many live mixes aired on radio stations such as Clyde 1 and XFM, Stevie is now doing his own radio show the ï¿?Stereofunk Showï¿?on L107 every Saturday night between 6pm and 8pm. The show reaches over 200,000 across Lanarkshire and has given a great platform to play his tunes to the masses not just in the clubs but now in their living rooms and in their cars.

Always keen to pass on his dj knowledge to the younger generation, Stevie regularly delivers dj workshops for Reeltime Music in schools, clubs and youth groups in his local area Lanarkshire.

Producer
Stevie is currently working hard in the studio producing house music that will no doubt be filling the nations dancefloors in the future. He had his first release in 2011 with ï¿?Starkyï¿?s Revengeï¿?. In 2012 Kelman & Lennon were signed to Tiestoï¿?s label to release ï¿?Essencioï¿? and ï¿?Stereo Da Funkï¿?. Both tracks took clubland by storm and were supported by some of the worldï¿?s biggest djs. Eric Morillo dropped ï¿?Stereo Da Funkï¿? in Pacha and ï¿?Essencioï¿?made the respective radio shows of Above & Beyond and Paul Oakenfold.

In September 2012 Stevie hit the headlines when his track ï¿? Shanderï¿? hit number one in the German Dance Charts. The track became an overnight success and was played in over 52 countries worldwide after receiving national media coverage on BBC,STV,The Daily Record, The Scotsman and many local papers.

In 2013 he released another Scottish style track called ï¿?Cue Jimmyï¿? which got signed to Miami label Heavenly Bodies. He also enjoyed big success with his Kelman & Lennon releases in 2013 releasing ï¿? Been And Goneï¿? and ï¿?Freakin Youï¿? on Nightbird Music. Kelman & Lennon ï¿?Been And Goneï¿? made it into the top 200 tracks of 2013 on Traxsource Best Of 2013 Chart.
