Review of 2 Tone Forever Festival

Great really enjoyed day weather was good so that helps but bands were excellent .

Brilliant day the bands were fantastic  shame more people didn't get behind it ,hope they do it again next year

I had a great time but  people were confused on line as first you said  they could  bring a picnic and unopened water bottles  then it changed to you can't bring anything in and it was so hot  so I think this needs addressing.

Nice location. Ample parking. Open-sided circus tent was great, bench seating outside + straw bales
great. Good/ample toilet facilities. Good bands though wish some would just play music and not eat up time by introducing the band members. Great atmosphere. I thought that The Beat were the best group on, the others were good, but a bit disappointed with The Selecter, whose first few songs were
mainly off recent albums and not easy to dance to. Not sure if the main mikes were at correct level for a couple of bands as impossible to hear what was being said when they chose to speak, though i'm sure the sound  was better outside than underneath the canopy. The music being payed by DJ Ska N Mash etc in between the bands was brilliant and really made the event and the atmosphere. Impressive number of people picking up litter as well. Only negative thing to report really was the fact that there was no real ale on offer, only lager, which came in plastic bottles and cost £5 each, which is a real rip-off. Consequently I only drank a fraction of what i'd normally consume, and the bar would have taken far less from me, so their hard-luck. Music, fresh air, and fresh beer make an event, but unfortunately the last part didn't exist. Also, didn't affect me, but would have been disappointed to have paid for the higher-priced tickets, only to find myself a couple of inches in front of everybody else. Also, ok, but the central area of the marquee was taken up by the people monitoring/regulating the music, who were occupying quite a space, and were consequently in the way of both people inside wanting to dance, and outside watching, though you'd have to think how you could minimise their impact - i'm sure it's not easy - it just seemed more of an issue when you also add in all the poles etc keeping up the big-top which also obscure the view, but at least you had a big screen up to compensate. Friendly staff on site, and friendly atmosphere. Enjoyed it. Good spot, good staff, ample toilets, good marquee, great music (especially between bands). Only downside was the absence of beer, drinking out of plastic bottles, and being charged over the top for the privilege. But great event - thanks !

Great time. Only possible criticism was that I do find it a bit difficult finding the list and times of acts.
