This Preston Tech Connection meet-up is all about Vibe Coding Vs Reality and experience.

Join us for an honest, hands-on conversation about the gap between AI-assisted development and production reality. Whether you've shipped something with Chat GPT or Cursor and hoped for the best, you have built it in to your development routine or you're just AI-curious and want to know what the hype is actually about - this one's for you.

We'll dig into what vibe coding gets right, where it quietly falls apart, and what experienced builders have learned about using AI tools without letting them use you.

We will cover ideas like:

• "Who owns the code AI generates?"
• "What happens when the person who built this leaves?"
• "How do you audit something no one really wrote?"

Our April Tech Connection Meetup is featuring as part of this years Manchester Tech Week programme as a fringe event.

About Preston Tech Connection

Preston Tech Connection is a group centred around an interest in digital technologies - our events and meet-ups are a place where tech enthusiasts can come together, exchange ideas, work on projects, and support one another.

Getting there:

Society1 is located on Cross Street, just off Winckley Square (PR1 3LT). It is easily accessible by bus and train.

If you need to drive, public parking is available at Fishergate Shopping Centre or Avenham Public Car Park. The Avenham multi storey car park closes at 8pm, so as this event runs later we advise that you park in the open air one or on the streets around us.
