yllwshrk is a collaboration between 5 musicians from across the UK, brought together by Scottish composer and violist Ian Anderson (not that one). They gave their first gig in January 2016, and since then recorded their first 3 tracks at Woodworm Studios, Banbury, with producer Graeme Stewart (Radiohead, Ash, Busted), who they met while touring Europe and Russia with Jonny Greenwood as part of the London Contemporary Orchestra.

Also with the London Contemporary Orchestra, Ian and Dave Brown (bass) recently appeared on Radiohead's latest album A Moon Shaped Pool, and Frank Ocean's two latest releases, Endless and Blonde.

They are named after Frank Zappa's album of modern classical music with Ensemble Modern.

Influences include Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Bowie, Zappa, Björk, Sigur Rós, Hendrix, The Beatles.
