Biography

Wyvern Lingo is made up of Saoirse Duane (guitar, vocals) Caoimhe Barry, (drums, vocals) and Karen Cowley (keys, vocals)

As pre-teens, the girls became best friends over their common interest in groups such as Led Zeppelin, Queen and Thin Lizzy, yet their song-writing is shamelessly also influenced by girl groups such as TLC, En Vogue and Destiny's Child.

Originally from Bray, Co. Wicklow, Wyvern Lingo have been achieving recognition on the Dublin scene for their "soulful, powerful vocals and harmonies." Their set ranges from stripped back a cappella and acoustic folk tunes to heavier, fuller compositions utilising full kit and synth bass.

Over the last few years they have played countless Irish festivals such as Knockanstockan and Electric Picnic and have released their first EP. Along with each member balancing college courses, full-time employment and other musical projects, Wyvern Lingo have spent the last year working on their second EP, "The Widow Knows", which was released independently in August 2014.
