Wayward Beatz, the alias of Solihull-based producer and DJ Alix Hayward, has been deeply involved in music since the age of 12, when he first began composing drum beats on an acoustic kit. By 15, his passion shifted to UK Garage, Speed Garage, and Bassline House, leading him to start mixing vinyl in his bedroom. At 18, he transitioned into production, fine-tuning his craft while holding DJ residencies across Solihull and Birmingham. Eventually, Wayward Beatz stepped back from live performances to fully focus on mastering his production techniques.

His sound spans the full spectrum of UKG, from bouncy 2-Step rhythms to bass-heavy Speed Garage. 2024 has marked a breakthrough year, with multiple releases on respected labels such as Level4 Records, Nine2 Recordings, and Strictly Flava. Wayward Beatz has also collaborated with UKG heavyweight MC Cobra and Californian singer Chloe Caroline, further establishing himself as a versatile and innovative force in the scene.
