Hailing from Aberdeenshire, Scotland watchfires are a five-piece rock band formed in January 2013 . Following spells in other bands in the area, former Headlight members Ewan Donald (vocals) and Mitch Bain (guitar) originally started writing songs intended for acoustic project Sandoval. However, the need to flesh out the sound soon prevailed, and it was at this point former Headlight member Jamie Donald (drums) re-joined the duo and the project began to gather momentum.
