Biography

The Doggett Brothers are a UK collective with their own style of soul, Electronic R&B, funk and dance floor.

Originally started by brothers Greg & Carl Doggett in 2010 as a studio project, the collective features numerous heavy weight vocalists and perform an explosive and exciting live set.

As musicians, the Brothers take influences from the likes of Prince, Jamiroquai, Quincy Jones, Earth Wind & Fire, Incognito, Michael Jackson, Reel People, D'angelo, Dwele, Gilles Peterson, Disclosure and Dornik (amongst many, many others!).

The brothers' critically acclaimed debut album, Daylight (2012), was featured as Jazz FM's Album of the Week. An award followed for best band at The 2015 East Anglian Music Awards and a featured spot on BBC Introducing.

The Brothers follow up album Colours (2014) also blazed a trail, spending three weeks at No.1 on The Solar Radio Sweet Rhythm Chart, and two weeks at No. 2 on the UK Soul Chart.

The Doggett Brothers have performed extensively throughout the UK including sell out shows at the world famous Camden Jazz Cafe, London, Margate Soul Weekender, Hoochie Coochie Club and the Pizza Express (Soho, London).

The band have worked with and featured the best of the current crop of UK and US soul vocalists including Nate James, Jarrod Lawson, Kenny Thomas, Laura Jackson (Cool Million), B Thompson, Hannah Tobias, Stacy Stuart, (Katie Hector, (Incognito), Eli Thompson (West Coast Soul Stars), James Junior (Speedometer) and Natasha Watts. The talented London based vocalist Coco Malone joined The Doggett Brothers in 2018 as lead vocalist.

The band has opened for Alexander O'Neal and legendary BBC Radio 1 DJ, Trevor Nelson.

The new 10 track album 'Get High' (2018) is an intoxifying mix of Electronic R&B, soul, funk and dance. Whilst keeping close to their UK sound, Greg and Carl have always had an obsession with US soul and R&B, a sound that they have weaved into this album; timeless ballads sit side by side with edgy, modern electronic R&B tracks.

The Doggett Brothers are signed with P-Vine in Japan and Ashwood Records in the UK.
