Biography

The Bleeding Obvious has one single member: Yorkshire lass Jessica Rowbottom, whose multi-genre songs are sometimes funny, occasionally poignant, and frequently emotional. Her work frequently involves her experiences on the LGBTQ+ spectrum, and she has written and toured a one-woman original musical cabaret 'Rainbow Heart' which explores the coming-out process through music, spoken word and comedy.

Previous dates include a packed off-West End show at Pride In London, London LGBT+ Pride Picnic, Totnes Pride, L Fest Lesbian Festival, Sheffield Diversity Festival, Rotherham Pride, Norwich Arts Centre and a sold-out show at Cadogan Hall London with Europe's longest-running LGBT+ choir The Pink Singers. Her performances have drawn comparisons with Victoria Wood, Tim Minchin, The Divine Comedy and Fascinating Aïda.

With two albums and an EP under her belt, The Bleeding Obvious' third album 'Dirty Blonde' will be released in 2020.
