Taz Barnes is a passionate young singer/songwriter, who describes his main style as pop ballad acoustic. Currently performing as a solo vocalist/guitarist, he has a huge repertoire, performing his own material, and covers spanning the sixties to the present day.

Taz studied music at Access to Music; and is currently based in York.

An accomplished performer, Taz has been gigging since he was 11 years old.

He is the lead singer of the pop band Stereo Nation which was formed in 1996. Formerly known as Johnny Zee, he is credited with being the pioneer of cross-cultural Asian fusion music.
