Tarsus are a London-based quartet that explore a variety of musical traditions from around the world. They formed in March 2020 in a bizarre and unexpected turn of fate after entering lockdown together as flatmates, and have since been performing live on the streets of London, at music festivals and on various live streamed events
Tarsus are Eloise Macdonald – Violin, Yusuf Narçin – Tuba, Joe Hardy – Accordion and Cabbar Boziye – Percussion.
At the core of the Tarsus ethos is an attitude of inclusiveness and community, realised by opening our musical explorations to other musicians and cultures. Tarsus enjoy a rich repertoire including Klezmer, French Waltzes, Bulgarian dances, folk music from Macedonia, Brazillian Bossa, Russian drinking songs, Irish jigs and Turkish pop odysseys. Yusuf, Elly, Joe and Cabbar have a love for learning and progressing from the guidance of past traditions.
