Virtuoso oud (Arabic lute) player and singer Tarek Bitar first learned music in his home town of Beirtut at the age of 10. He studied under the master Musbah Tamim and at the Beirut Conservatoire. He worked for many years in the Salim Sahab band in Beirut and relocated to Berlin in 1989 where he has performed as a soloist in concert halls including Berlin’s Columbia Hall and Koln Philharmonic Hall as well as throughout Europe as a guest artist for bands such as Salamat.
