Tanya Fenmore grew up in Los Angeles, performing and playing classical violin. As a child, her movie break was tap dancing and fiddling in Steve Martin’s film Pennies from Heaven, followed by Steven Spielberg's segment of Twilight Zone: The Movie and MGM’s Lisa. Fenmore guest-starred in various TV series including Family Ties, Fame, Mama's Family, My Two Dads, The Tracy Ullman Show, Who's the Boss?, Tales From The Darkside, and ABC's Life Goes On opposite Patti LuPone. While an undergraduate at Harvard, she sang in Harvard's professional a cappella group. Fenmore later directed short films in Italy and the US that played at various festivals, and wrote, directed, & produced the feature film Graduation Week, (Lifetime Channel, First Look Media) starring Alanna Ubach (Meet The Fockers). Fenmore’s screenplay, Little Lady Fauntleroy, inspired by Frances Burnett’s classic novel, was produced by German broadcaster ZDF and Yellow Bird Pictures (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo trilogy). A chance meeting during a trip to Mumbai, India led Tanya back to her musical roots, where she co-wrote & recorded the English version of the theme song for the feature film 1971. She then wrote the theme song Was She? for the independent feature film The Guest House. Fenmore wrote and produced her debut album, The Other Side, and directed & produced her music video for the title track in Kunming, China at the Kingdom of Dwarfs amusement park. Tanya holds a B.A. (Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa) from Harvard University, and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. She speaks decent Spanish, better Italian, and currently resides in Los Angeles with her multi-talented toy poodle, Gigi (a.k.a. Lil’ G).
