Born in Bristol England, Standerwicks early career as a Songwriter/Producer/Vocalist saw him signed to one of the biggest music publishing companies in the world, the famous Zomba Music Publishing Group.

In the years to follow this period, Standerwick began to explore other avenues in Song writing and music production. Soon he found himself producing Electronic Dance Music where he found his new passion and where his journey in Trance begins.

After a number of successful tracks released on Slinky, Skinny & Extravaganza, Standerwick decided to take an extended break from producing to start a family.

In early 2012 he decided to return to music and started producing again.

In the last year Standerwick has had tracks released on Armada, Future Sounds of Egypt, Arisa Audio, Blue Soho and many more. Most recently Ian remixed a track for Armin van Buuren which was released on Armins 'More Intense' album and also saw his first Beatport No.1 with a collaboration with ReOrder called Skypatrol - Folding Your Universe. Most recently Ian has seen his tracks and remixes appear on numerous end of year mix releases - including Armin van Buurens Top Twenty Tunes of 2013 and also Armins End of Year Mix 2013.

Support of Standerwicks tracks has been significant since his return to producing with regular support from the likes of Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Aly & Fila, Ferry Corsten, The Thrillseekers, Sied van Riel, TallaxL2C, Max Graham, Manuel Le Saux, Mark Sherry, Brian Kearney to name just a few.

Most recently Standerwick has DJ'd at Gatecrasher in the UK and on the 138 stage in Utrecht, Holland on Armin van Buurens ASOT650 world tour. Future appearances include Trance Sanctuary in the UK and FSOE350/Subculture event in Holland amongst many other bookings in venues all over the world.
