Sean Wilson is a Kizomba and Afro DJ, Kizomba teacher and Kizomba and Afro promoter from the Manchester area of the United Kingdom. He is also the founder and head of Kizomba Manchester, the catalyst and pioneers of the ever growing Kizomba scene in the North West of England.

As a DJ and teacher Sean has played and taught nationally in most major cities including: Manchester, London, Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Nottingham, Bristol, Sheffield, Glasgow and many more.

He has regular monthly and bi-monthly residencies at his own big Kizomba and African Nights in Manchester and hosts, DJ’s and teaches at the biggest weekly Kizomba & Palop night in the North West of England, every Tuesday in Manchester ’Tentação’. Sean also has residencies at: Blackpool Tower Ballroom Kizomba Ball, Calle Ocho Leeds, Latin Caliente and Hot Hot Hot.  

Sean has played several times in Lisbon, Portugal the ‘Mecca’ of the european Kizomba and Palop scene. His most recent sets came in August & November of 2016 where Sean headlined at the biggest Kizomba event in Portugal, ‘River Party’ at iconic african club Ondeando, Lisbon alongside DJ Sergio Banderas and DJ Victor Black. That summer Sean also played four times in Lisbon’s premier palop club, The Docks Club, Lisbon. Playing twice on Wednesday’s at summer event ’Quatas Tropicais Na Esplanada’, once on Friday and once on Saturday playing alongside DJ’s and acts including: DJ Kadu, DJ Kiko Mau, DJ Danilo, DJ Kapiro Jnr, DJ Habias and afro-house acts ‘The Groove’. In November he played at iconic nightclub Discoteca Mangole alongside Mane Futado and DJ Mito.

In 2015 Sean made his debut at The Docks Club, at their annual Halloween party alongside world famous DJ and Producer DJ Kadu and other top DJ’s: DJ Kiko Mau, DJ Danilo, DJ Jabbs & DJ Barata. Sean also performed at ‘Noites Da Drena’ at Patrimônio Bar in 2014 and also at Pacatos Bar in 2015 alongside world famous DJ and producer DJ Pausas as well as DJ Palhas Junior and DJ Kizaca.

Sean has played alongside other top DJ’s including: DJ Malvado, DJ Johhny Bi, DJ Chuchu, DJ Jabbs, DJ Paparazzi and many more.

Furthermore, Sean appeared on world famous live Lisbon Facebook show ‘Bocas Do Helder’ with Rei Helder in February of 2017 alongside Afro House star Vladimir Diva where he achieved at the time record live viewing figures

He is also one of the major Kizomba and Afro promoters in the UK bringing superstars Nelson Freitas and Kaysha for live shows in 2014, Mika Mendes and Atim in 2015, Yuri Da Cunha and DJ Malvado in 2016, Kaysha and Rei Helder in 2017 as well as many other famous acts in the past.
