Rema is Nigerian based singer, songwriter and rapper.

Rema was born in Benin city, Edo state. The young rapper was born into a Christian family, which allowed him to display his singing talent during his education career.

Before 2018, no one barely knew the name, Rema. He came into the limelight after posting a freestyle video to D'Prince's track "Gucci Gang".

D'Prince saw the video and made moves to sign Rema into his record label. After the video, Rema signed a deal with Jonzing World record label (founded by D'Prince), a subsidiary of Marvin Records.

Rema's brand name became popular after the artist released his hit single "Iron Man", which appeared on Barack Obama's 2019 summer playlist.
