Ray Harris is a Glasgow-born musician and graduate of the National Jazz Institute. His sound is a unique blend of Acid Jazz, Easy Listening,
Soul and Disco, drawing inspiration from artists such as The Doors, John Lennon, classic Blue Note recordings of the 60s and 70s, and iconic bands like Pink Floyd and The Beatles.
Originally performing and releasing music under the name Ray Harris & The Fusion Experience (a title given by P-Vine Records Japan), Harris later streamlined his artistic identity to simply Ray Harris.
His international career has seen him share stages as a support act for legends including James Brown, The Average White Band, Sister Sledge, Chic & Nile Rodgers while touring extensively across the UK, Europe, and South East Asia.
Harris’s recordings have been released worldwide through respected labels such as P-Vine Japan, Think Japan, Record Kicks (Europe), Mr Bongo (UK), Street Soul Records (UK), as well as his own imprint, Fusion Music Records. With a catalogue that bridges classic influences and modern grooves, Ray Harris continues to push forward a sound that is both timeless and fresh.
