1. Polar are a hardcore/metalcore band from Guildford in the UK signed to A Wolf At Your Door Records. Erupting from the sleepy English town of Guildford towards the end of 2009, POLAR have taken their devastating union of hardcore punk and rock ’n’ roll on the road leaving a lasting impression on audiences throughout the UK with their vicious and exhilarating live shows.

2. Polar, or K, is Kjetil Dale Sagstad, a Norwegian electronic music artist. He is originally from Meland in Norway, and grew up with his former musical partner TeeBee. Together they started Subtitles Recordings, which TeeBee now runs by himself. He currently lives in San Francisco.

Labels: Certificate 18 (alone and with TeeBee as K), Subtitles Recordings, Breakbeat Science, Warm Communications.

After some break, Kjetil seems to be back in business again. His latest LP "In The End" was released under Warm Communications in 2008 on vinyl and in 2009 digitally (with some additional tracks).

3. Polar from Gainesville, FL - were underground shoegazer/dream pop US Clairecords band. Major Members: Chuck Horne, Bryan Hoben, Kristy Moss, Ed Ballinger. They recorded:1997 - Begins the frigid night, 1998 - A Future History Of The Frigid Polar Night and 1998 - Lies Set By The Polar Mob, 2002 A letter for the stars, 2004 Comes with a smile. Later Moss and Ballinger continuing with a new effort - Con Dolore.

4. Polar is also Eric Linder, an Irish born singer-songwriter who lives in Paris (France) and Geneva (Switzerland). He sings in English and French and has released four albums since 1996.

5. Polar is also a Spanish band from Valencia (formed in 1994)with 3 released albums (Jabalina, www.jabalinamusica.com), kinda low-fi mixed up with some post-rock.
