Biography

‘His blue guitar gently nods from side to side like a ship and his trembling, stony voice pleads for rescue in a half sung, half cry of “Don’t give me hope, don’t give me silence.” This is a new song called ‘Grace’ by Peter Bradbury.

Live, acoustic and stripped down is where he comes alive. His latest work sees him in a reflective mood; expect beautiful melodies, melancholic moments and endearing elements of comedy.

Peter’s musical path started in a punk band when he was at school, releasing his first record when he was 15 and playing his first gig at London’s 100 Club and exaggerating his age to get into the club.

Since then Peter has developed into a songwriter, composer and singer whose music crosses several disciplines.

He writes music for television including a BAFTA winning Education series “The Test of Time.” He has written and produced Children’s songs that have sold worldwide and is currently recording a project of stories and songs for release in 2015. And he combines this musical work with roles in the business side of music including several years working for the BBC.

The old favorite, and wonderfully titled, “The Sudden Change from Good to Bad” usually finds its way into Peter’s live set. The track was originally released in the album entitled “the Seven Year Hangover” which as the only release by the band Lucca – a diverse collection of quirky melodies and odd sounds - and well worth a listen.
