Pangaea (named after the ancient supercontinent) is a London-based jazz quintet playing original music that seamlessly fuses influences spanning modal jazz to drum & bass, bebop to hip-hop, Latin jazz to Afrobeat.

The band formed in February of 2022, following a spur of the moment recording session organised by saxophonist Anna Chai. Several original compositions were born, and from the point of conception, the band’s ethos has always been to create fun, spontaneous music that celebrates the diversity of music, cultures, and personalities that can only be found in a city like London.

Pangaea is currently working on original music, to be heard soon on both stages and sound systems.
