Hailing from Scotland, one of the worlds fastest growing countries for emerging EDM acts wee introduce to you one particular artist who is at the forefront of a ‘nu-breed’ of fresh talent within the UK, Nick Callaghan.

‘Nick Callaghan’ a naturally gifted young man who possesses a dual passion for both performance and music production from Glasgow, Scotland is a name that has quickly made an impact within the trance scene over the past few years. Nick’s passion for music has been at the forefront since a very young age. He picked up his first set of decks at the tender age of 13 and then began learning his hand on the production front at the early age of 18. After several years of educating himself in the art of music production, Nick has proven he is a true talent when creating electronic music by injecting a rush of blood-pumping, fire-infused music onto dance floors all over the world.

BBC Radio 1’s Judge Jules has been quoted as saying;

“It is hard to come by such a promising young talent who is as consistent within their productions as Nick is. Just about all his tracks work for me perfectly. I tip big things for Nick over the forthcoming years!”

As a result of the consistent support received on BBC Radio 1’s dance shows, Nick was asked to appear on a one off ‘Tips for the future’ broadcast hosted by Judge Jules. Nick featured in this show alongside well known artists such as, Ali Wilson and Richard Durand. Now that Nick’s music career is beginning to exceed all his own expectations, he has set the ball well and truly in motion with regards to his music. With tracks such as ‘New day rising’ reaching number 1 in the trance download charts and productions signed to the likes of Good Greef, Maelstrom, Phase7 and CGI records Nick has been receiving global support and recognition from a number of big names throughout the music industry.

On the remix side of the coin, Nick has been equally as determined to deliver high quality music to our ears, including remixing for his fellow production partner and friend Will Atkinson on several occasions not to mention the massive remix of Judge Jules’s highly acclaimed 2009 Judgement Sundays anthem the ‘Judgement theme’. Nick also likes to inject his sound into some of his favourite anthems from back in the day and on the horizon we can look forward to a fresh take on several unearthed classics!

His DJ sets entail Nick playing a diverse range of music such as; Tech house, trance, tech-trance to full fire techno. His vigorous presence and performance behind the decks is well known for injecting energy and an electrifying atmosphere amongst the crowd.
