Biography

Since 2003, El Diablo’s Social Club has become to be known as being one of Manchester’s best underground and respected hangouts for psychedelic disco deviance, with an open-minded party vibe, where the emphasis is on dancing and meaning it. Soaked in cosmic, disco, balearic, italo, house and techno, taking in anything else on the way that’s suitable for your dancing feet.

EDSC continues to host many surreptitious events at cavernous underground sweat pits, dodgy boozers, derelict grocery shops, canal barges and subsequently one of the best venues in town. Now residing first Saturday of the month at the critically acclaimed venue The Deaf Institute.

The EDSC formula is simple – a collective of hardworkers; DJ’s, promoters; dancers – coming together under the disco ball. Dressed up or down, the regulars are there for the music, misdemeanor and potential for something special happening. And it usually does!

Over the years the guests DJ’s have traveled far and wide to get involved, all looking for the chance to play to an open-minded audience who are here to party.

They have included: Prins Thomas (Full Pupp), Andy Butler (Hercules & Love Affair), Daniel Wang (Balihu/Environ) Mock n Toof (DFA), Maurice Fulton (Tirk/DFA), Todd Terje (DFA), Rub n Tug (DFA/WhateverWeWant), Toby Tobias (Rekids), Danny Krivit, Greg Wilson (Credit to the Edit), Jacques Renault (DFA), The Unabombers (Electric Chair), Kelvin Andrews (Creative Use), Padded Cell (DC Recordings), DJ Spun (Rong), Phoreski, Mudd (Rong), Crazy P (Live), Kathy Diamond (Live), James Yuill (Live), Weirdo Police (Live).
