Maxi Jazz (born Maxwell Fraser on 15 June 1957 in Brixton, London) is an English Sōka Gakkai rapper. He is best known as the lead vocalist of British band Faithless. Maxi founded The Soul Food Cafe System as a DJ in 1984, having discovered hip-hop a year earlier. He transferred this sound to pirate radio station LWR in 1987.
