Markel are a rising multi-dimensional duo from Birmingham, England. Currently making big waves with house and techno fans alike, their signature sound of uplifting, stripped back beats and low swung basslines get audiences pushing for more. Whether it be a stripped back warm up set, or a late night peak time slot, Markel’s DJ style and original productions offer versatility for any club room.

In just a few short years, Markel — comprised of Steve Kelley and Mark Whitehouse — have started to gain big interest on the underground scene with original productions and remixes on a large number of highly respected labels such as Baile Musik, Little Helpers, Innocent Music, Deep Tech Records, Yoruba Grooves, Celestial Recordings, Whoyostro LTD and more recently Chronovision Ibiza with their remix of DJ Onionz “ Bitter Sweet” which was heavily supported by Carl Cox throughout the Summer of 2015. All have charted in the top 100 on the leading online digital music stores.

Markel’s performing career has seen them play at numerous clubs across Europe in Italy, UK, Barcelona and Pacha Ibiza.Markel have also had a number of radio guest mixes, appearing on Greece’s largest Electronic Radio Show “ Enter Radio 106.6” alongside Nicole Moudaber and Carl Cox.
