Manchild AKA Daz 'Manchild' Smith is a Greater Manchester based DJ with house music in its various guises flowing through his veins. Born and bred in Oldham, he has been hooked on music from the moment his Mum squirted him out and his style is almost impossible to pigeon hole due to him playing what he wants. Comfortable playing at any time; whether that be warmup, peak, closing time or sexy time, all the Manchild cares about is that the crowd have the most untold time.

After only getting back into DJing in mid-2019 after a very long absence and a lot of catching up to do, both musically and with getting himself back up to speed with the latest DJ technology, he fell back in love with the progressive sound all over again and quickly became resident of Manchester brand 'Up Close and Personal Mcr' after catching the eye of promoter Andy Holdsworth.

Whilst also indulging in breaks, melodic techno, indie dance, house, trance, power ballads and more, Manchild's versatility allows him to flit seamlessly between all of the above.

Since late 2019 alone, he has regularly played with the likes of James Zabiela, John Digweed, Sasha, Nick Warren, Cristoph, Anthony Pappa, Lexicon Avenue, Jody Wisternoff (numerous times), Patrice Bäumel, Marsh, Nox Vahn, Jeremy Olander, Sébastien Léger, Roy Rosenfeld, Tim Green, Cosmic Gate, Grum, John 00 Fleming, Richie Blacker, Mr Sosa, Estiva, Boxer, Trilucid, My Friend, Fehrplay, Cream, Marcus James (Renaissance), Dave Pearce, Diode Eins, Tommy Farrow, John Kelly, Dave Beer, Asch Pintura, Redfreya and many more at venues such as London's Studio 338, Ministry of Sound, EGG, the Steel Yard; Manchester's Progress, Stage & Radio, and not to mention his many appearances at his favourite venue - Joshua Brooks'.

With his own night 'You Think You Know Me' now well underway at various venues, there is plenty more to come from the Manchild.
