Manchester gave birth to a new breed of British music.

1983 saw a new band called The Stone Roses form in Manchester. They were one of the pioneering groups of the MADCHESTER movement that was active during the late 1980s and early 1990s.

The band released their debut album in 1989. The album was a breakthrough success and garnered critical acclaim, with many critics regarding it as one of the greatest British albums ever recorded. It was the beginning of something much bigger and a scene that was to change music forever.

MADCHESTER was born!

This was to be the starting point for many British Bands like...... The Happy Mondays, Oasis, The Charlatans, The Verve, The Farm, Inspiral Carpets. to name a few. They were to take over the world of music.
