Biography

Lissy Taylor - With a natural ability to write addictive anthems, her indie rock songs appeal to fans of Sam Fender and Wolf Alice.

Lissy was selected by an expert panel consisting of Blossoms, Doves, TAYS and Cassia, She perform to 7000 fans at Manchester’s Joie Stadium for Man City vs Arsenal (05/05/24) and took the title of Manchester City FC Battle of the Bands 23/24 Barclays WSL competition in May 2024. Her recent supports include international touring bands such as Circa Waves and Haiku Hands. This summer Lissy will be at multiple UK festivals including the main stage at Y Not Festival ahead of Noel Gallagher and Pine Festival ahead of Scouting For Girls with more to be announced. Lissy Taylor’s songs have gained airplay from Nels Hylton BBC Radio 1, OJ Borg BBC RADIO 2, Absolute Radio (Skin Show), John Kennedy Radio X and Xposure playlist. Her latest 3 singles have all been played on BBC Radio 1 Future Alternative and ‘Feel For Me’ was added to 6 editorial Spotify playlist; New Music Friday, Pulp, Proper Belters and Shockwave. Lissy was invited to record ‘Minds A Riot’ (15/09/23) at Abbey Road, this track was nominated and resulted in her producer, Tayte Nickols, being awarded ‘Breakthrough Producer of The Year’ by Music Producers Guild. More music is planned for release in 2024.

During 2023 Lissy supported: The Lottery Winners, New Rules, Tommy LeFroy, Rianne Downey, The Blue Tones and Tom Hingley, Rosellas, The View and Sea Girls. Lissy completed her 2nd UK Tour May 2023 with promoters This Feeling and made her debut performance at The Isle of Wight Festival in June. Originally from Stoke with influences from living in the USA (2015-2017) and Manchester (2017 -2020). Lissy formed her band while studying a songwriting degree. She immersed herself in the Manchester music scene including regular trips to 42’s nightclub. 2021 saw her debut on SKY TV Live From The Edge Studios, a UK Headline tour and being selected as BIG in 22 by national promoters This Feeling. She performed at YNot Festival and at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium ahead of the Champions League game against Sevilla. Another 4 singles, Young, Healer, She’s A Stunner and Fierce were released throughout 2022.
