Lila grew up in East London listening to a wide array of music from a young age including Afrobeat, Jazz, Soul, R&B and Electronic music. She studied music throughout her life specialising in guitar. At the age of 18 she began DJing, inserting her influences of Soul and Afrobeat rhythms into her selections. She now plays in clubs around Leeds and on her radio residency in London. Lila has played alongside the likes of Bicep, Aba Shanti, Iration Steppers and Zed Bias, as well as being interviewed in Nice People magazine, holding a radio residency on Netil Radio and co-founding two fast up-coming events: BrainDance and DeepFry.
