Lemon Skies are a Liverpool-based indie rock band, who formed in 2021 at University of Liverpool whilst studying Music. Motivated by a mutual love of alternative music and the thriving independent music scene in Liverpool, Olly, Joel and Dec started jamming together and formed the band last summer, before adding bassist Seamus to the line-up in 2022. The band are inspired a wide variety of influences such as Surf Curse, Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Drums, Arctic Monkeys and Her’s, and have created a unique lo-fi indie rock sound, combining catchy riffs and distorted guitar tones with themes of nostalgia, youth and love in their songs. Lemon Skies self-recorded, produced and released their debut single ‘When You Were Here’ in March and have been gigging in the city since, having played at iconic local venues such as EBGBs, The Jacaranda and The Quarry, with more gigs and original music to come in 2022.
