Ready made RockStars with anthem tunes & a hazy sounds of psychedelica!.
LEMON PARTY formed in Dunoon in 2009. They are, Martin Halligan (lead vocal and rhythm) Liam Baird (lead guitar) Craig Crawford ( bass and vocals) Jonny Blincow (drums). Bored at school, the boys became friends and with little or no musical back ground or training, decided to form a band .With influences from Artic Monkeys, Strokes, Red Hot Chilli Peppers White Stripes and more. The band have headlined The Barras, ABC 2, Slouch, Capitol, Box and O2 Academy. The band has a reputation of producing dynamic live performances, appealing to a wide audience. With solid guitar riffs and great lyrics the band tears through a set of their own material and popular covers. Their debut EP was released late 2010. The bands second EP was recorded in February 2012 at The Cottage studio on Loch Fyne. The band and their engineer Andy Ferguson booked in for a weekend and got stuck in to producing and recording three new tracks and one that they wanted to add to the Ep. Shortly after the band headlined The ABC 2 Glasgow which was a mile point for the band. They have recently added venues like Twa Tams in Perth and The Dreadnought in Blairgowrie , and Three Sisters Edinburgh, as part of their favourite places to play. Barrafest was an insight to playing in a medium sized festival and the band shared the stage with The Vatersay boys and Face The West, both highly regarded Scottish bands . New videos recorded at Soundshape productions in Greenock, have shown the band has an eye for visual production and are veering towards the more percussive psychedelic beats. The vocal is also very prominent in the more recent recordings. Having supported The Primitives of 80s fame at King Tuts in Glasgow in late 2013, the band went on to have their own headline show at King Tuts in aid of ‘Small Independent Venue Week.’ In the process of planning a mini tour of Northern Scotland ,the trip will take Lemon Party back to Inverness and Hootenannies where they played a couple of years ago. Their first video Ms Direction, was played by Jim Gellatelys ‘In Demand’ show on Radio Clyde and the track Clockworks has been aired on Amazing radio .New tracks are in the pipeline and with a steady supply of gigs, the band make new friends wherever they go. The bands latest achievement was to record for 2014 series of BBc Alba Rapal show which highlights the best up and coming talent in the Scottish music scene. The show will air in August. The band are very excited and are looking forward to seeing the recording. With gigs booked again at King Tuts, The Coach and Horses in Irvine, and The Bungalow in Paisley, 2014 is looking very interesting for Lemon Party. http://soundcloud.com/lemonpartytheband/sets/ep-2/ www.myspace.com/lemonpartytheband http://www.facebook.com/pages/Soundteam-Management/130970786969188 http://www.facebook.com/Lemonpartytheband http://www.bandwagongigs.com/epk/epk1390658126 To book call John 077207591911
