L’Alba Di Morrigan was formed by Hugo Ballisai and Alessio Caruso in Italy in 2008. With a strong passion for music and many years playing they decided to start writing songs together. The rest, as they say, is history.

Taking inspiration from the likes of Katatonia, Tool, Anathema, A Perfect Circle, Isis, Paradise Lost, Alcest… and many, many more - this is post/doom metal at its best!

Their first demo in 2009 received excellent reviews, and by 2011 the band was ready to release their debut album “The Essence Remains”.

Giampiero Ballisai and Alex Scarpulla joined L’Alba Di Morrigan as guitar player and drummer at this point, and after whirlwind success, the band was signed with My Kingdom Music. Their album was pushed worldwide throughout 2012 allowing L’Alba Di Morrigan the chance to work with inspirational artists such as Callisto, Vik Anselmo, Paul Di Anno, Antimatter, Anathema, and more!

With a growing fan base and fresh experience to feed in to their music, the band is currently working hard on their second album! Expect to see the new release this autumn 2014, with the tour commencing the following spring.
