Laila M, is one of the upcoming tech house DJ’s of Geneva. Born in California from Iranian parents and raised in Switzerland, her groovy tech house sets will take you on a journey from the DC10 Terrace to Burning Man, two places she likes to call her second home. Laila M’s style draws on her mixed roots and an extensively diverse musical culture that she has been developing from a young age and that spans from disco to punk rock, enabling her to always surprise you. In love with electronic music since she first saw Laurent Garnier live in 1994, her inspiration comes from mentors such as Luciano, Dandy Jack or DJ Reas. After a year of “grooming” as a booker for Cadenza, she has been affirming her style in the past 6 years as a DJ and has now moved into production. Laila was full-time resident DJ at the W Resort in Verbier and played in most clubs and venues in Geneva including the legendary timeless underground club Weetamix where she is resident as she’s part of the ‘’W spirit’’, there she opened for such good artists as Damian Lazarus. She’s also a resident of Club Silencio, where she hosts the “Maison Close” and “Disco Volante” nights. She also co-hosts the “Bordelhouze” parties in Venice, Italy and recently she appeared in the new upcoming Festival in Africa, Dakar Music Festival and the famous Swiss events Modernity.
