kidProquo has been on a dynamic musical journey for over 20 years.

Starting out as one half of a duo with Deej A’ La Fu during the Radio Skool days and holding down a residency at Snafu, kPq has remained a vital part of Aberdeen’s music scene. Whether spinning in legendary clubs or backing MCs with instrumental beats, his contributions to live hip-hop, funk, and reggae/dub have been both versatile and impactful.

Known for cutting up samples and crafting live soundscapes, he carried the spirit of collaboration into The WabLab — an internet radio station that brought together DJs and musicians for marathon jam sessions across all kinds of spaces.

As the digital world evolved, so did the WabLab. It’s now a roaming, multi-camera live stream that pops up anywhere there’s a Wi-Fi signal, continuing to push the boundaries of improvised musical connection.

Genre lines don’t matter in a kidProquo set. Labels fall away, styles mix freely, and global sounds blend into something uniquely his. Every show is a journey — delivered with a wide, cheeky grin from behind the decks and an open invitation to dance, move, and get involved.
