So Cal Native Jonwayne is an integral member of the LA Beat scene. Along with contemporaries Flying Lotus and Gaslamp Killer his productions and sets were a staple at the seminal West Coast club Low End Theory. Originally active on the underground Hip Hop and Spoken word scene as an MC, he's nice on the Mic too. His blunted beats and raw flow made for a unique and distinctive combination that soon caught the attention of the world's most diverse and daring Hip Hop label, Stones Throw... and the rest is history.
